HISTORY

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Major League Baseball player and Indianola natives Casey Blake and his wife Abbie initiated the Indianola Community Youth Foundation. ICYF funds efforts that benefit Indianola kids. The Blakes created the foundation as a way to give back to their community and build Indianola’s reputation as a community committed to its youth.

2010 THE FIRST MILLION

The million dollar donation from the Blakes was attached with one condition: That the building renovations started within 24 months. The building will be connected to Indianola Middle School.

The first goal was to match the $1 million donation from Casey and Abbie Blake and provide at least $2 million toward additional Indianola athletic facilities.
