Thanks to a generous memorial gift in honor of Jon Proctor, ICYF has made it possible to award up to 5 golf scholarships a year for students interested in playing at the Indianola Country Club. Scholarship Application This scholarship goes toward a one-year Junior Golf Membership and is for Indianola students in grades 8-12.
Casey Blake Proves Character Does Count
Former professional baseball star and Indianola native Casey Blake became the newest recipient of the Robert D. Ray Pillar of Character Award Thursday morning. Scott Raecker, director of the Robert D. and Billie Ray Center at Drake University, presented Blake with the award at a ceremony in the Blake Fieldhouse, a multi-use athletic facility, named after him. ICYF Open Gym is Monday through Thursday evenings, 5:45-9:30 pm, unless an IMS game is happening. Then we will begin at the conclusion of the game. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult during open gym.
